Another World Record Completed at The Underwater Studio

AUDIO OF THE FINAL MOMENTS OF THE DIVE AND INTERVIEW WITH MARK COLEMAN

Mark Colman Ex Royal Engineers and commercial Diver has beat the world record for the longest dive in a controlled environment. At 13:52 Friday 22nd June 2012, He (unofficially, as we have to get it verified by GUINNESS WORLD RECORD) broke the WORLD RECORD by 22 minutes. We would like to say a big thank you to all Mark's  sponsors, his Support Team, friends and family, All the Support Divers who gave up their time to watch over Mark around the clock. To everyone who sent him messages of support and encouragement. To all those that have donated to the Veterans in Action Charity. We would also like to say a big thank you to all the Krystal Radio Presenters, whose shows kept him entertained whilst he was underwater.

Finally a GREAT BIG WELL DONE TO MARK. AN AWESOME JOB. (but don't do it again)

WORLD RECORD DIVE TAKING PLACE THIS WEEK AT THE UNDERWATER STUDIO

 

 

Taking place this week at The Underwater Studio is a world record attempt by Mark Coleman a Ex Royal Engineer and Ex commercial Diver. Mark is attempting to spend  5 Days underwater  in order to break the world record for the longest dive, which currently stands at 100hrs (4 days and 4 Hrs) Mark is going to beat this by attempting to stay submerged for 5 days.. He will start his dive on Monday 18th June at approx 1030and plans to finish on Saturday 22nd June at 1030 hrs.

Why is Mark doing this? Well its not just for the world record he is doing it to raise fund for the charity Veterans in Action.

What is Veterans in Action

VIA started in 2008 amid the growing concern of veterans who suffered after leaving the services due to illnesses such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression or veterans who found the transition to civilian life difficult.
